The Man in the Grey Flannel Suit

Just got this in from my tailor last week and glad to have an excuse to take it on its maiden voyage.

From earlier this week, before the floods came.

Did hit make it. Though my boring old boating jacket and grey flnnels is not likely to have won, anyway. Stupid work.

This is superb. The tailoring of the coat is sleek and comfortable looking. The solid colors of the coat, trousers, and tie provide the perfect frame for the stripes on the shirt.

Thanks! I lucked out. Hunstman rtw. Didn't have any alterations done besides the sleeves.

Ima just say I cast a lot of votes this week.

I don't think I've ever voted for a higher percentage of entries; about 60%! Excellent theme & strong field.

Overall fave remains Tirailleur. B Bear, Spoo, Don C & Piccolo round out my top 5.

It was a damn fine challenge, if I do say so myself.

Now you know that I of all people am unlikely to show any favoritism towards sugarbutch (The People's Enemy). However, the People's Commission for Sartorial Standards and Practices was convened, and after intense scrutiny, has determined that both of sugarbutch's breasts are real. Repeat, sugarbutch IS wearing a double breasted jacket, so please do not let any lingering doubts about the authenticity of sugarbutch's entry prevent you from tossing him a well earned vote.

A lot of strong entries but I believe Spoo and Tirailleur presented the best cases for formal and casual use of DB. B.Bear was good but his shirt collar killed the look. But great fits all around.

Spoo for me.

Mr. D - thanks.

Really enjoyed looking over so many appealing DB fits, guys.

Claghorn and Spoo for me.
