No, and there will almost certainly be a social cost. How large a social cost depends one your particular environment. On the other hand, there is the reward of doing your own thing.

The real question is whether you feel this particular form of self-expression is worth it. If so - forget normal.

If not, consider whether there are toned down alternatives you could consider that might not stick out quite so much (say, leaving out the tie and going with more casual button down shirts).

Now I appreciate the benefit of having attended an all boys High School.
Nobody cared what anyone wore. However if one is an athelete, Big
and possibly good looking one can wear anything other than a dress
and still make out.

If it were normal, everybody would do it. If nobody really does it, then it isn't normal.

When I was in my senior year, I started wearing ties and whatever. It was weird, but I was well-established as a weird individual at that point anyway. I think it helped that I was funny and that I was economically near the bottom (nobody could accuse me of being a snob).

If you don't want to be "that kid with the ties," then you can't really wear ties. If you hang with a crowd that's pretty open-minded, you can do whatever you want, but if you don't want as much negative attention as positive, then this might not work for you.

No, don't do it, teenagers aren't supposed to wear ties. You're going to stand out in a bad way almost everywhere you go. You'll get made fun of. Girls will think you are a nerd and even if they like you, will risk ostracization themselves if they approach you. So just dress like a normal person. Wear sweaters. Button downs can be fine. But ties? And also, wearing this every day??? Come on. Don't be that guy.

I did, at that age, Mon thru Sat. However, it was my school uniform, so I figure I get a bye.

Doing it in your spare time is kind of odd for a 15yr old, esp. in this day & age. However, far be it from me to label others as odd, considering I post on Styleforum anyway. Bottom line, you WILL stand out. This may or may not be a good thing, depending on your social standing, attitude, personality, circle of friends, level of concern, etc, etc. Examine your own circumstances, and choose wisely...
