That's on the high side. Most people need about 1g per lb of body weight. A normal diet has around 100-120g of protein a day, so if you weigh 180 lb, one protein shake (mixed with milk or soy milk) in addition to your normal food will be about enough (about 60-65g/protein with 2 scoops of whey 16 oz of soy milk)

2 protein shakes per day for me, one before bed and one after I wake up. Occasionally, when I am not eating right I will buy a protein bar to eat.

I do about 2-3 protein shakes per day (with only 1 scoop each).

Sure. These aren't necessarily the best prices, but just links.

Protein:

Creatine supplements:

Cellmass

NoXplode
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/bsn/xplode.html

I take one scoop of the latter two as a supplement every morning, plus NoXplode immediately prior to my workout and Cellmass immediately after. I take a protein shake each morning and one after each workout (2 scoops)

I do about 4 or 5 a day, with 1.5-2 scoops a piece. I mix it with water, so there I don't get any additional protein from the milk. I'm a veggie, so I don't get much protein naturally.

10 scoops of protein is around 220g, do you get zero grams of protein from your diet?

Can anyone recommend an organic protein supplement that doesn't taste like liquid cat shit. Edit: Actually, I'm looking for something more along the lines of an MR.

6 daily, moderate-sized servings of meat or seafood might be too much iron. If combined with a supplement that contains iron, probably.

I probably get no more than 40-50 grams of protein a day from my diet. I also weigh about 220, so worst case scenario, I'm getting about 1.25 g/lb.

It was my impression that most multi-vitamins (and definitely male-specific ones) don't contain iron for this very reason. I could be wrong though.

Most male-specific 'multi' supplements probably don't contain iron. By contrast, most women have a specific physiological need for extra iron. Anyway, all those servings of solid protein are likely to have negatives in addition to possible excess iron.

Sadly, most multi's, even the "male" marketed ones, do have some Iron in them. Very few do not contain any Iron. If you eat any meat at all, you really don't need any Iron in your supplements.
