The "who spent the most money on X niche item" challenges don't do anything for me. Make people play with combinations, don't make people own a specific item.

A few months ago, there was a "Best Fitting Linen Trouser" challenge where we had to vote on who had the best fitting trousers (lots of crotch shots, that one). The votes were focused on a particular item of clothing. In this, the item of clothing is merely a requirement. People would (and should) vote on the outfit as a whole. It wouldn't be a "how expensive is your xxxx" or "how good is your tailor" type challenge. I expect we'd see a lot of very similar navy double breasted blazers with a few browns and gray suits thrown in.

That being said, if too few people own something double breasted, then yeah, that's an issue.

If it's D/B, I'm in.

If it's a DB challenge I'm out. :(

We need a tweed suit or a 3-piece challenge at some point (and I'm not just saying this because I have a beautiful new tweed 3-piece to show off...).

Let me rephrase that for the wags in the audience - If the competition involves the wearing of double-breasted suits, I will participate.

(There! Try to make a double-entendre out of that, smarty-pants.)
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Thanks for all the votes and congrats to Clags!

I don't have Double-Breasted jackets. I want one. :(

If you don't have a DB, you can just watch.

How about a navy or blue odd pant challenge? Has that been done?

DB sounds interesting though.

Double breasted, navy odd trousers, or patterned trousers....I'm thinking patterned would be the most interesting, navy the most educational, and double the most elegant. I'll start the thread tomorrow.

I'm hoping for navy odd trousers, because that's the only one of the three I own. lol
