Should I just get a new pair?

Hi all,

I recently got into the world of men's shoes and my first purchase was a tan, unfinished leather desert boot. Anyways, I didn't know anything about shoe care so they got dry after about a month of wearing them (see picture). I bought neutral conditioner with hopes of repairing some of the dryness, but it some how made the cracks more visible. There are now white streaks where the cracks are. I don't really know what to do now. I know the cracks can't be removed, but is there a way I can at least get the color to be all the same again? If not, any advice for next time? I'm not sure why this happened; the climate is pretty humid here and it's only been a month.

Thanks so much!

Julian

Who made the shoes? I'm guessing it's a lower end maker

They're actually Sperry's. I'm guessing that's at the lower end. I loved that color D:

You can try Allen Edmonds conditioner or Saphir renovateur, followed by cream polish

Yes, Sperry is low end and judging by these pics, the leather had a lot of veins to begin with

Patina - just wear them for what they are.
