Question on availability of John Lobb Museum Calf

I've read in several places over the last couple of years that John Lobb was going to discontinue its Museum Calf line of shoes, but still see it being sold on the website and other stockists (like Mr. Porter and Neiman Marcus) for certain models like the classic City II and Chapels. The misty calf appears to be used with the newer models. Is Lobb simply phasing out its current inventory of the radica leather used for Museum Calf for the classic models or do they currently have a source for Museum Calf which they intend to continue using? Wanted to see if anyone has an update on this.

Anyone with info on this?

I guess I'll just email Lobb directly and see what they say and pass it along for anyone who cares.

from what i understand they are running thru existing stock of hides...If i recall, wasnt the availability shut down due to the tannery (Ilcea) ceasing production on it?

**edit**
Its still available on their site...Ilcea calls it "radica"....so maybe lobb will still offer a couple models in museum calf...

I have provided no information, just babble. hahaha. Would love to hear what Lobb says though.

Suggest asking the company who should be able to answer you.
