Starcraft 2 - Page 4

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Q4 2008 or Q1 2009.

It's been in development for around 4 or 5 years. I suspect it will be released this year or Q1-Q2 2008.

Bumping this thread because there have been some developments over the past few months. First off, check out this awesome gameplay demo. I'd advise you to not wear your best pants, as you will probably cream them.

Man I love this video. SPOILERS (lol I know): I'm very surprised that the Terrans won because the Protoss was able to apply so much pressure early on. But I suppose this goes to show how adaptable Terrans are overall as a race because even though the Protoss had more expansions going on the Terrans were able to recover more and overwhelm them with basic Mauraders while I think the Protoss probably spent a little too much on those Colossus.

Anyways, there has been a lot of important news coming out. The big one being that there has been a decision to split SC2 into three games, each one featuring the campaign of a race. The first one being Terran. I'm not sure how pricing will work, but each part is going to have the equivalent of an entire games worth of missions (the original SC had about 32, the Terran expansion for SC2 has 30).

If you look into the website, google, search around, etc you can find the interviews which have more information.

Overall I'm pretty confident in Blizzard which never fails to turn out a good product. On paper things may sound bad but seeing that gameplay video has really rekindled my love for SC, so I suppose we shall see.

What the fuck?

Basically the campaign is going to be incredibly fleshed out and in depth. Of course all three installments will be usable over battlenet and I'm fairly sure will have all three races on multiplayer, they just contain massive campaigns.

I hope they sell it as a dl like they do WoW now. I really hate dealing with CD keys and discs.

Wow that gameplay video was awesome. I can't wait for this to come out. I hope the beta comes out soon like rumored.

The gameplay video seriously made me doubt if I'm getting the game. DoW2 looks way better at the moment.

By the way there's a TON of information on the SC2 website including many new units. I just wish there was a Zerg gameplay video. They should done 1v1v1....

The Zerg reveal trailer is amazing... the zerg rush is incredible. Gotta be like 200+ units cresting a hill to lay waste to some poor sucker. *drool*

I read that one reason why they're releasing SC2 in installments is that they just don't have that much work done on Protoss and Zerg in comparison to Terrans.

Leave it to Blizzard to delay something until it's perfect, not that I have a problem with it. Even though Blizzard isn't the same company it was I still have confidence that they will turn out a solid product at the very least.

They're like the Vass of the gaming world... or some other shoemaker, I don't know I'm not to sure.
