Is it normal to "drip" a bit after peeing?

Ok, please don't laugh at this thread or anything

as I'm actually quite worried about this, and it took quite a lot of courage believe it or not to post here.

In the last year or so (although it might have been going on my whole life, I'm only 16, so wasn't really self-conscious till a year ago lol) I've noticed, after peeing, I tend to "drip" a bit into my underpants. Usually its just a couple of drops, but sometimes its more like 6 or 7 drops, enough to soil underpants very slighttly on the other side - (I've never actually wet my trousers though or anything thankfully!) Went to the doctor, quite humiliating, and he ruled out an infection or anything, said it could be caused by "mental stress" which it certainly isn't, happens even when I'm not thinking about it.

Is this normal? This is even after forcing everything out, as it were, as much as is physically possible. I've heard of a couple of drops being normal, but is 4-6 drops or so normal or what? I'm now absolutely terrified of soiling my outer clothing (though, like I said, never actually happened yet) up to the point where I check my underpants after every visit to the toilet - is this kinda normal and am I just being paranoid, or what?

Thanks!

Yea its normal, mine is only usually 1-3 drops, but thats probably because I'm not big. I try to be really careful if I'm wearing some dry jeans, as not to ruin them.

Thanks for the reply. Ruin jeans? Are we talking about "raw" denim here? I'd assume pre-washed jeans would just wash it out?

Yea raw denim. I'm afraid I might get some stains on it.

I meant big as in Height/Weight, as I am only 5'7 and fluctuating from 115-120 lbs

OK, I re-read the original post and I have to retract my comments. It sounds like you're doing everything right.

That's a weird problem for someone so young, though.

^^^No ****! Bodily functions really don't start deteriorating I don't think until the 30's or so...prostate starts going a little from all those cheeseburgers, etc, etc. What really freaked me out is when I took my 5 and 7 yr old nephews camping 2 weeks ago and the tried pissing on me from like 15 ft away...and I had to run to get out of the way! Little *****. I don't remember ever having that kind of range.

Don't most people do the 'shake' after they pee?

Yeah, you got to shake it after you make it. The OP says he does.

You could either do the "shake" or the "fling back and forth, side to side w/ no hands"
