I had boots with less speed hooks more eyelets and I hated it. You have to de-lace the upper eyelets then lace back after the foot is in. Speedhooks are much more convenient. but I suppose any cobbler can change it to eyelets. That been said the configuration is set and submitted to CJ last week.
Fair point. Just when it's too low the laces hang out. 5 eyes is happy medium in my view. Anyway ...sleeping on it.

You can get C&J to swap eyelets for hooks (or vice versa) after boots are completed. They'll charge extra but well worth the investment in my opinion. It cost me 50 gbp to add eyelets to my Harlech back in 2019, it's probably a bit more now. For me it's still cheaper than shipping to a cobbler, zero hassle, and hardware colors match perfectly. Wish I'd known this when I did my first MTO.

Gentlemen, is the following Black Bakers Russian grain GMTO still on? It looks like the last chance to get a pair in this leather since the tan russian grain just went through a month ago…

Just out of interest .... At £737 .....just wanted to check this out with others:
Perth (handgrade) is not far off this price....and presumably higher grade leather. Never tired it but anyone has any experience of those?

For me it’s the last. I would have to order anything else in the 365 last, so a Perth would end up being more like £1000.

There is no last that fits me so well like 365.

I used to think about the hand grade line in a similar fashion, but it really doesn’t make sense because I’m not buying it for the fact that it’s hand grade but rather for the fit
