I think I'd like to be in.  Couple of questions:  The 325 is one the wider of the lasts, correct? , Any estimates on cost yet?, Any interest in medallion delete? (I'm on the fence about that anyway so it wouldn't be a killer)

My main concern is the width.  I split the D/E line on the Brannock and in certain lasts I can wear a US D, but my feet prefer US E's.

@ace13x THe Dundee is on the 335 last. I think the 325 is just a carry over from whatever the specs were copied from on the google sheet. Also the 335 is the widest C&J last and should work perfect for your wide feet.

Wish I had known this was on the widest last. I think I couldve sized down.

If anyone doesn't want to wait about 4 to 5 months for an 8E UK, pm me so I can jump in on this go around, sized correctly. Only worn 3 times indoors to try to determine if I should size down or not and didn't want to risk wearing it out.

Ia new to this gmto thing but I might be interested in the dundee mto or maybe even Kczsilences pair but need some assistance in sizing

I'm a USA 9d brannock and the only c j I have is the peal Consiston version on what I believe is the 202 last. This fits pretty well but slightly large enough for a heavier sock. My concern is the 325 last may be too wide.

Also is there a link for details on the timing price down payment of the finders. Thanks
Any thoughts appreciated

Thanks

Full payment is up front and MTO usually takes several months (4 - 5) depending on what kind of leather is being used. I'm a U.S. 9 D and take UK 8E in the 325. It's possible I could go down to a UK 7.5E, but never tried. The one pair I have in shell 325 fit fine to me, and could be a little snugger, but definitely feel better than the Alden lasts that I have. Most of the details for an MTO should be in the google speadsheet. Should be linked somewhere in this thread.

P.S. Maybe the thread starter can add it to the OP.

Hello all!

I hope everyone is having a good start to the week. I wanted to put the most recent developments regarding the Galway 2 in whiskey GMTO. As of 11/14, we have 11 interested and confirmed members on this order. This is really great as anyone who was unsure before has either left or confirmed their intention. That being said, we need 1 more participant to get the order submitted for this amazing boot! I really hope we can get it done by the end of the week. Once we get number 12, I will email Lauren the list and get this moving very quickly. I have reached out to any threads and I thought might be relevant but if you have any ideas you're welcome to spread the word! The more the merrier; backups are always helpful for unforeseen circumstances. If I've forgotten anyone on the list below please let me know or if you need to drop please update the post with necessary edits. Thanks to everyone for sticking this out. It will be worth it!

Current spec of the boot:

  • Galway 2
  • 325 last
  • Whiskey cordovan
  • 4+4 eyelets/hooks in vintage brass
  • Storm welt
  • Antique welt/edge
  • Danite sole
  • No pull tab

*** Whiskey Galway 2 update ***

Hi everyone! Ive waited a few weeks to get updates from participants who have not yet paid and have not heard anything. That being said, we have 2 slots open on the Galway 2 GMTO. The two spots are open on a first come, first serve, basis from now until close. Please PM me your email and I will send it over to Pernilla asap. If you are in contact with Pernilla, please inform her of your interest and she will work with you from there. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me and ill get back to you asap.

I appreciate everyones patience on this and I sincerely apologize for the wait.

On another note, I was talking to perinea about a few other shoes and she send me a picture of a whiskey Cork. The color and hardware combo is going to be killer. The boots will be nearly the same spec but on the 325 last, storm welt, and danite sole.

Not a problem! Its going to be so worth it.

Agree, thanks KPDarb. I have spent plenty of time looking for a pair of tan grain Galways in my size all over creation and have come up empty.

A whiskey shell version is even better!

I think I may go a half size down from my brown grain Galways. They are a tad on the long side, and I k ow shell is often lasted a tad looser than calfskin.
