I don't think anyone has that going but I would be in.

I am going to be so poor if that happens.

@tkliebert

@billsayers

@Booter

Please let me know if you would like to join and are not on the list, or would like to withdraw. It is at 13 including myself meaning we have enough to go ahead, but I would prefer to get a few more as I'm assuming a few will fall through.

Everyone in the above list, please chime in whether you would like

Option 1. Double Leather sole, Storm welt, NO wheeling

Option 2 - Double Leather sole, no storm welt, WITH wheeling

Waiting to hear back from lauren about wheeling sans storm welt but I'm assuming its possible.

@mdubya

I sent you a PM, about my choice. Question on payments, and maybe someone who got the Warlows can chime in.  What was the turn around time and when was the payment processed?  First or at shipment time. Also do we leave a deposit?

post #5540 of 6050
The payment is processed as soon as Lauren/Pernilla receive payment details from all participants; you pay in-full upfront in lieu of a deposit.

Can the 13 members listed above please PM me their email addresses, as well as their vote (option 1 or 2) before the end of the weekend. I will be forwarding the info to Lauren on Monday. Note that 12 is both the min and the max we can have to go ahead, but I am assuming 1 (or more) will not come through.

Re the look of a double sole with flat welt, someone had posted a picture of the C&J for Peal short wing blucher.  but really, the last of that shoe is much flatter so i dont think the picture was an accurate representation.  Here is a new shell model being offered by C&J.  It has higher walls (like the last of the Marlow) and a double leather sole with flat welt.  I think it looks amazing and I'm hoping more people will want this option on the Marlow MTO.

I agree the double sole with flat welt and wheeling is a much more stylish option than a storm welt.

I'm kinda torn. I tend to prefer the storm welt and sacrifice no wheeling, but I imagine I'd be perfectly fine with the flat welt and wheeling as long as it was still a double sole.

I know what you mean. If I was in your position, being in on warlow 2.0 as well as this Marlow run, I'd be ok with the flat welt. It would add some variety to the mix. That's my opinion on it anyway but i usually prefer storm welts on bulkier lasts, especially ones with higher walls on the toe box. Either way I think you'll be very pleased!

Thinking the Flat welt might be more aestically pleasing now.

@mdubya When do you need the final choice.  Sizing wise, I wear a US 10.5D on the 341 last from Brooks Brothers and 10.0D(a little snug) on the Brooks Shell short wing by CJ.  Thinking of going uk 9.5E on marlow right?

I'm thinking of changing my vote to "will side with the majority."

I strongly prefer the storm welt on Marlow. All the other details harmonize with storm - shell Cordovan, full brogue, derby, double sole, substantial 325 Last. I don't think of this as an "elegant" shoe.
