We now have 13 interested participants for the LINDRICK!

For fairness the first 12 listed above will have the opportunity to be part of this.  Should anyone choose to exit, then number 13 will be in.  If anyone else wants to be on the waiting list, just add your info to the spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bZ6_ctp_ElaAqFORjMMnwLZw_BRkxZV59z6rk5SvZhk/edit?usp=sharing

The main specs will be:

325 Last

Dark Brown Shell

Double Leather Sole

Antique Edge

Storm Welt

Eyelets

Price:

EU Customers: 700 GBP including VAT (not sure of delivery price to EU countries.  Let me know which country and I'll find out.

Non-EU Customers: 583.36 GBP (aprox $754.00 in today's rate).  Delivery to USA is 30 GBP (approximately $39 today)

Some of you wanted to know about metal toe taps and whether or not we can choose the color of the lining.  I have an email out to Lauren inquiring about the possibility of these specs on an individual basis.

EDIT:  If anyone above wants to exit, please be so kind as to send me a PM.  Thanks!

I didn't hear back from Lauren today.  I wonder if she was off since she's always been super responsive. Hopefully I'll hear back from her tomorrow regarding additional spec options and re moving forward with the order.

So far I haven't heard from anyone that they want to leave the group (except @bcloudy had offered to switch places with @BackInTheJox).  I will try to send out PM's to everyone as well to make sure.  Some of you did reply here in the forum, but I'd like to touch base with all participants individually anyway.

Looking forward to a smooth and efficient GMTO!!

If the offer from @bcloudy is still good, I will accept his switch and take a spot among the hallowed 12.

Yes, I believe Lauren is on vacation right now. I think she's back next week.

Ok good to know. Thanks.

To everyone on the Lindrick GMTO:

Assuming Lauren is back next week, let's try to get this thing finalized as soon as possible. I believe everyone will have to contact her individually and provide their sizes, (individual specs if available), shipping info, and payment info. Let's aim to have everyone's info submitted by the end of next week (or sooner).
Thanks in advance to all of the awesome participants!

Import Tax / Shipping question:

I've heard that shipments coming in to the USA that are worth less than $800 are not subject to the import tax.  However, I personally have received shipments (from Spain and Germany) that were less than $800 value and I was charged tax by the carrier (DHL and UPS).  Can someone clarify?  My dilemma is that if I am part of 2 GMTO's, I can save a bit on shipping costs by combining shipping.  However, by combining the shipping I am bringing up the value of the package to above $800.  In that case I'll be losing more in taxes than I will be saving in shipping.  So if someone can clarify I would really appreciate it.  Thanks!

My ears were burning, here I am.

Mosy, how long ago did you receive your German and Spanish shoes? I believe the following link will answer your question: https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/national-media-release/2016-03-11-000000/de-minimis-value-increases-800.

The $800 limit has only been around since March.
Previous GMTOs have been shipped with a customer friendly declaration.
But I plan to have my orders shipped separate just to be sure to stay under the $800 limit.

Pretty sure this is a standard model? I saw them on sale recently. Forget where, but I think it was posted in the C&J thread earlier this week.

Really?  Cool... couldn't find them in snuff on the C&J website in their US or UK model lists.  @alexSF mentioned in the Quintessential C&J thread that this was an MTO that he did (photo was taken from his post regarding it)

Are Snuff and Polo not the same color?
