I can't shake the idea. I think it would be a nice alternative to the skye.

I'd very likely be in for a whiskey Lindrick or Skye 2.

Might also be interested in Whiskey Skye's...

Here's some motivation for anyone thinking about a pair of whiskey skyes.  Received them July 2nd, 2015 so they're almost exactly a year old now.

I updated the spreadsheet so that it's easier to see what number we are up to.  Amazingly both the Lindrick and the Gianni/Galway are at 11.  When was the last time two C&J MTO's were at 12 at the same time?!

Here's a link to the sheet:

I think I would also do it with the eyelets and leather sole. Let me know if there is any interest.

I would be interested too. Would you consider antique edging? I live in HK now so leather soles are a bit tricky with the weather conditions here. dainite would be preferred but I am flexible.

Hi fella's, I'm in on the Lindrick MTO, however as I mentioned they will be my first C&J's. I'm hoping some of you may be able to pass on some sizing help in terms of how C&J's fit, so that I can request the right size once this thing is confirmed.

I wear UK 8.5 on the EB 363 mod, and basically every pair of hand mades I have. The SC and Zonkey sailor last 8.5 are more roomy, 8 is too tight. EG 890 last UK 8.5 fits great. Alden Plaza last 9.5, all of these are E width.

I felt my size was pretty strait forward only to be surprised by a pair of AE Freiburg's at 9.5 that swallowed my feet up; they are a full size too big.

So, hope the C&J veterans can offer some good advice.
Thanks

I really love the red undertones in that whiskey. Can't wait to see some indirect sunlight pictures. And I agree it should be done.

This has me excited to see how our Warlow is going to come out...

I think danite could work for me and I am a big fan of antique edging. Any other folks interested in a whiskey blucher on danite with some eyelets and antique edging? I may post on reddit to see what interest I can garner.

Any interest in a PRL Marlowe short wing in cordovan? Open to details and coloring...

I am guessing (though I haven't been paying close enough attention) that the talk of the "Warlow" is a Whiskey shell Marlow.  Seems like this MTO was just done and it may be hard to get another dozen on board (although I would certainly consider it and I wish I would not have missed the boat).

I would be, but antique edging is a no-go for me.  Feels too much like a fad on a shoe I would expect to last well over a decade.  For an investment like this, I would prefer a classic look.

I would be interested, I might prefer leather but could be persuaded for dainite if there's more interest for it. I'm also partial to a lighter colored edging but again, it depends in what could get traction. It would definitely have to be a storm welt for me though. I'm good with whatever eyelets the group might decide. I might've missed some prior dialogue but what last?

The Marlowe discussed is the plain toe blucher above. I am thinking a shortwing and would be open to cordovan or leather
