Nope, but I did size down for penny and tassel Marlows.

If it's traditional Marlow sizing an 8e will work if it'still cj then it would be a 7.5e would work. A 7.5 Marlow Sierra would definitely not work.

The price of these minus VAT would be £529.17

I hope this helps with your enquiry and if you have any further questions in the meantime please do not hesitate to ask and I will be happy to help.

So, there you have it.  About $760.  Thats a competitive price for sure.  A little cheaper than what I anticipated, due to the exchange rate I believe.

I'm interested in the Warlow as well!!

I have no interest in any of the GMTO whatsoever, but given the British pound is rock bottom now - it is incredible opportunity for anyone to get their hands on these beauties, especially the US chaps biggrin.gif

I suppose that would make me interested party #21 for the Warlow in 10UK? In.

did this guidance come from Lauren? bc I did dig this up from the C&J thread from a couple years back

"I corresponded via e-mail with Mr. Huqstable, Manager of Crockett & Jones mail order department, in March 2010. Here is the relevant part of his response to my inquiry:

"We do indeed make the Darlton bluchers, for Ralph Lauren in dark congnac shell cordovan. A US size 12 D is a UK size 11.5E in the last 325.""
I think you guys are unnecessarily complicate things, just ask C&J to make Warlow on 325 last UK sizing.

Right.

There are essentially 2 different sizing paradigms and that corresponds to how hard the Marlow line has been to fit for many.  My essential advice was to go ahead and go down a full size from normal US and that was LAUREN's advice as well.

However, just as I suspected, the C&J for RL Marlow line is built on the 325 last is indeed a .5 size down from US.  Again, this is why so many have had a hard time fitting the shoes.

I received correspondence from Lauren this morning and she confirmed that the C&J for RL line that is only .5 size down:

Example:  US 10.5D=UK 10E

The best thing is for all of the Gentlemen who are on this GMTO to go to a C&J retailer that sells the 325 Last and get sized properly.

I knew this would be a lengthy process and that ok because $760 is a lot of money and we need to get this thing done right and not hastily.

Hope this helps.

Here is Lauren's email:

"We do normally like customers to have tried a pair of the shoes on in the correct size and width before doing orders with this as not everyone’s feet are the same in these equations but most of the time it is about half a size in the same lasts and as these are done as special orders it does mean that the shoes are not able to be exchanged id the sizing is not correct.

Kindest regards,

Lauren Taylor

I am assuming he is referring to the US sizing written on the shoe itself. So a RL Darlton/Marlow marked as size nD would be a CJ size (n-.5)E. I made it a point to wear my RL Marlows today, marked size 11.5D, so I would be ordering a 11E UK for the Warlow version.

A lot of us in the US do not have CJ retailers anywhere nearby, and the point is that a lot of us do have the RL Marlow blucher, and we just want the same size that we already have, and it's not too much to ask to have the maker tell us what the sizing formula is.

Gentlemen,

Lauren and myself decided today 2 factors:

1.  24 pairs of shoes is the Maximum for this order.  (12 was the minimum)

2.  February 29th is the due date for payment

Please post any questions that you have or message me please.

Thanks for your participation.

They are ordering in UK from what I am reading. People are just having a hard time figuring out what size that needs to be.

Was thinking the same thing. Only reason I can see it being pushed back this late is because they don't have the shell or manpower to make them earlier.
