To my foot, the main difference seems to be with the 335 there's more vertical room in the toe area than the 325.
Otherwise they feel pretty similar..

I don't think the 341 feels similar to the 325 or 335 although I take the same size.

Oh, and I vote for having the medallion.

Thank you for the description. Is there anyway you could post a shot of them from above side by side? I have the RL Marlow in the 325 and I am wondering if the toe is the same shape or not.

Thanks again,

Gentlemen,

This is the latest word I have heard from Lauren:

"Wow, they have conjured up a great deal of inters, that is perfect.

In regards to sizing our fittings tend to be an E fitting in the UK, in correspond with the D fitting that we us for Ralph Lauren sizing’s.

We tend to advise between half a size and a size down change to the sizing for these when they are made in the E fittings as they are wider..."

So, this is where we are:

1.  They have enough Whiskey Shell Cordovan for us all....:nodding:

2.  The commonly held sizing advice is one full size down from standard US.  Example:  US 10.5D=UK 9.5E etc.

I did indeed email her again to confirm the EXACT sizing paradigm for the 325 last for RL.

Furthermore, I am certain (95%) sure that the RL Marlow line is .5 size down.  This would explain why so many have had a tough time sizing them.

At this point we need some StyleForum O.G.'s to comment on their experience with the CJ for RL line.

@zippyh

@NAMOR

@hoit1981

You Gentlemen's advice and experience in sizing is invaluable.

Thanks in advance.

Kind of nervous I size down 1 full size for CJ but everyone in the know advise's to go with one's barrie size which is only .5 down.

That is for the RL line and not the standard CJ offering like you have suggested.

Here is the sizing questions:

1.  CJ for RL sizing

2.  standard CJ sizing

Between these 2 it should cover all the bases for the parties involved.

Thanks.

1. U.S. 8.5D, but it is a snug fit (Wingtips, Pennies, Tassels)
2. UK 8E (Harlech, Onslow, Chiltern)
3. Brannock - U.S. 9D

Sounds good for now.  Its time for us all to do a little more homework I think, to ensure proper sizing.

I will do everything I can to aid the information gathering on the sizing.

He needs a narrow width. Jeez guys. Thought everyone knew that! 🤓
post #3672 of 6050
presumably C&J won't do wide widths in a GMTO - everything needs to be the same width? or no?

Thanks again,

Skyes in UK9.5, Barney's sourced Chepstows in US10.5 and Marlows in US10.5
All three feel similar to me. I don't think I could go down to US10 in either the Chepstow or Marlow so I believe for those two, a US10.5 = UK9.5.
However, I have Ralph sourced Gianni boots and Frankenmonks where I did have to go down to US10. I have some other Barney's sourced C&J where I've gone down to US10 but most I've stuck with US10.5.
I don't think there's anything set in stone like UK9.5=US10.5 when C&J uses US sizes.

Does anyone take different sizes on the Lindrick and Marlow?
post #3675 of 6050

Gentlemen,

At this point, we should probably stick to 1 full size down from our US sizing.  That is the safest bet.
