I am checking some details with Lauren but looking to have Coniston made up in the brown Zug, either individually or as a group MTO?

Will post details soon if anyone interested? nest.gif

Have heard back from Lauren with further details:

Make up would be as standard Coniston , 325 last, Storm Welt, Black Dainite Studded Rubber Sole, heel tab, 4 blind eyelets and 4 speed hooks.

The difference would be this beautiful Dark Brown Zug Leather:

From email of the Dark Brown Zug leather sent by Lauren:

This is the same leather used in the recent Snowden MTO, pics courtesy of Nigeljh:

I think the finished boot would look a little like this .....but in Zug icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Price would be £383.36 excluding VAT or £460 including VAT.

Lauren is currently enquiring about possibility of leather heel tab or bellows tongue but still not sure if this would be available from factory and would be small price increase for these features if were available.

Lauren feels a run would be possible mid December when next batch of Zug is in, with more Zug being available Feb / March.

Any takers?

Best Regards

Im down for a zug coniston. It will be a joyous first CJ. Im fine with any or no heel tap and bell/or bellows.

My conistons are in tan pebble and i much preferred the dark pebble grain but could not locate them. This may force my hand.

I am going to play a contrarian here, I really do not think you should do Conistron in zug leather. I think the boot model is not appropriate for zug leather. Snowdon for example is the whoelcut boot while Coniston has stitched cap toe. In addition Coniston also has stitched leather cutting across the bottom part of the boot. These stitchings make boot less waterproof than whole-cut boot model.
However to each its own, if you guys can muster 12 interested parties for this by all means go for it.
