Yes she's awesome. She managed the first whiskey Harlech order for me/us and was fantastic.

Shame there's not looking like there'll be enough interest in this boot to get the GMTO moving.

That make up sounds pretty good. Sorry, not familar with C&J MTOs, how long would it take to be done once the order is submitted?

If I remember it correctly, it usually takes 3-4 months after everyone has paid.

This has been my experience thus far.

Unfortunately the Dundee boot isn't getting much traction. I would therefore like to keep it open but propose another GMTO in the meantime. This would also be a badass boot, and would be remarkably affordable.

Gianni (C&J for Ralph Lauren)
Dark brown "Scotch Grain" calf leather (same as Islay)
Dainite / ridgeway Sole (would be open to double leather)
Dark brown (matching) eyelets & speedhooks (same as Islay)
Antique edging
Storm welt (to match edging)

Price is going to be approximately:

£450 (including VAT)
£375 (excluding VAT)
Approximately $572 icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Gianni Images (not mine - thanks to @NAMOR:

These new ones seem very close to this GMTO... http://www.crockettandjones.com/product/galway-darkbrown

With that said...I can get down on this boot if it had a flat welt and regular brown scotch grain (the more tan one)

Oh wow. Now I'm embarrassed because I had no idea that this "Galway 2" model was available! Guess we can forget about my GMTO! Thanks for pointing these out.

There's been some discussion on the regular C&J thread about a Snowdon GMTO.

The spec isn't finalised yet, but if possible will be

  • Zug leather (waiting to hear from factory on availability)
  • Full bellows tongue
  • speed hooks
  • Commando > ridgeway > dainite sole
  • possible faux cap-toe
  • possible full lining (if it can be done)

Shearling (a la Turner Twins) was mentioned, but it seems the majority don't want this, and again may not be possible.

My preference too!

I'm interested if it's a faux cap. Not interested in plain toe.

Zig, speedhooks, no shearling, commando sole.

I'm in for Zug or walnut hurricane (and then maybe waxed oak) with faux captoe, speed hooks, vibram commando. Ambivalent on shearling collar but I was told they couldn't/wouldn't do it.
