Cheviot is on the 335 last - waiting to hear back on the Gianni last.

All cordovan C&J uses is from Horween. I began to wonder when the QC issues arose on the dark brown Gianni's (the scratching and severe looking dryness posted by Namor had me questioning). I hope there are no QC issues with the current Harlech MTO...

I'm currently thinking a dark brown Cheviot would be very useful. As far as another whiskey is concerned, I'm going to wait and see what the Harlech's end up like.

I may be in for either, but my preference may be with the Gianni.

Would US customers need to pay VAT? If not, what would the price for a Gianni be without VAT?

£650 - 20% VAT = £542 (assuming my maths is correct).

I'd likely be in for a cordovan Gianni. What would the color, sole, and welt/edge be?

Would anyone be interested in a Whiskey Skye2?

While that would be awesome, I just received the Skye2 in brown and want a Gianni as I missed out on the Ralph Lauren ones.

More info from Lauren...

1: Gianni is on the 325 last.
2: There is currently not enough whiskey for a Gianni (or anything) group MTO (individual can be had but is mucho $'s - £825).
3: A group MTO for the Cheviot in dark brown cordovan is possible and would cost £525 (£437 exc. VAT).

Definitely food for thought.

Figures...day late and a dollar short...

Hey Hoit, if I wanted to order a stock boot from C&J would Lauren be a good person to contact?

Probably not. She is the CEO's assistant. You would be better served contacting a C&J store directly.

Gotcha. Thanks!

Thanks mucho Hoit. Would that be $437 plus shipping US? Seems low as our MTO was considerably more. Can't wait to see that boot.

Tifosi, you could even call one of the UK stores and have them ship to you.  Their prices are lower than the NYC store, even with the shipping charges - 30 GBP for the first pair and 5 GBP per pair after that.

Wow, I'm glad we got in this Whiskey Harlech MTO when we did!  Thanks, Hoit!

@ chipshot - he meant Pounds, not $.

^ Sorry, I did indeed mean £437. This puts an awesome C&J longwing at around $700. Similar to Alden pricing. Pretty tempting - how does the 335 last fit? Would anyone be in for this MTO in the new year?

I might be on for this in the new year. I only have one pending pre-order for the new year and I hope to get the Skye2 early on so I guess it depends on timing.
