OK. I have emailed Lauren at C&J with the final details of the MTO and placed the first order. The makeup is:

Harlech on 341 last
Whiskey cordovan
Eyelets & speedhooks
Double leather sole
Storm welt

I have requested that the MTO be kept open for a week to give everyone a chance to get in on the action, therefore the closing date will be Monday October 7.

Lauren can be contacted at:

laurentaylor@crockettandjones.co.uk
20- 21 Burlington Arcade. London. W1J 0PP.
(T) 0207 499 3091 (F) 0207 499 6686

Lauren is Steve Murdoch (C&J's general manager) personal assistant and is very good at replying via email.

Good luck everyone!

Was also wondering the same.

Price is £480 + £30 shipping via Parcelforce. Lasted shoe trees are available (but not included) for an additional £60.

For those that are wondering. Google says that is $829 without shoe trees and $926 with assuming shipping doesn't change. This is also assuming that shipping will be similar to other places than NY.

I haven't been able to try on the 341 last but I really love how this makeup sounds. Is the consensus size down one? They said they all must be E (UK) width, right? Are we able to half sizes though? I am a 13D Barrie. From what I have read, that means I'm likely a 13.5 TTS? So if I size down one from that, I would be a 12.5UK for the 341 last?

Nice work! Without going back to read the entire thread again.. Did they indicate a expected ship date for this beautiful MTO?

Harlech (341 Last)
Whiskey Cordovan

Storm Welt

I've been in touch with Steve Murdoch at C&J who seems to be a very affable chap. I enquired about the possibility of a brown cordovan Harlech with modifications - namely all eyelets on storm welt with commando sole. Amazingly, I was told that this was entirely possible and would take approximately 10-12 weeks to produce.

Cheers but I would not be surprised if it takes a little longer.

I'm a 12.5D Barrie. I tried on the 341 (in a boot makeup - not Harlech) and found I was 12E (UK Size). This reasoning would make you 12.5E (UK size).

It should take 10-12 weeks to produce. This was according to Steve Murdoch, the General Manager.

Awesome, thanks. I'm thinking I probably need to go with a 12.5E UK as you say.

I trust what you're saying but I'm being cautious because I am a 13E UK in my Skye boots (335 last) and I think they fit well (perhaps just a tad long). My impression from reading all the threads on Crockett and Jones lasts is that 335 is a wider last than the 341. Is that true? If so, the fact that a 13E UK in 335 last fits well makes me wonder if width may be tight in a 12.5E UK on a 341 last for me. I think if I go up a size to 13E UK on the 341 last though they may be way too long.

Anyone here have a boot on the 335 last to compare to their 341 sizing?

I'm going to try on my Skye 335 last boot again tonight when I get home to see how much width I have to play with. Perhaps my impression of the 335 fitting in well in a 13E UK is flawed and it is too loose.

10-12 weeks sounds awesome and very reasonable. This is one of the greatest MTOs that SF has had and the wait is definitely going to be worth it.

I think so too. Now we just need 6 or more people to join. If you contact Lauren today she should reply to you tomorrow morning (UK time).
