That's around what the IWC models using their in-house movements retail for.

The Reverso Calendar has a beautiful open caseback!! drool.gif

Love the Reverso. My watchmaker had one for sale. Kinda wish I had purchased it as it was used and about 40% off retail. What held me back was the bracelet.

Great Classic watch. I really like the patina on the markers.

I agree--it is a lot of money to spend.

For ~$13k I would rather purchase some gently pre-owned items like a JLC Master Ultra Thin (~5k), Rolex Submariner (~4k), Omega Speedmaster Professional (~3k) and call it a day for my watch collection--with give or take $1k left over to boot. I'd also end up with a full range of wardrobe options (dress/dive/chrono) rather than some random watch that only looks good when matched up with the interior of my car.

Or I'd just go in the opposite direction altogether and get one beautiful Patek, VC or ALS.

You can pick up a pre-loved Lange & Sohne - Lange 1 for about $13,000, hard for anything else to compete with this option on a 'value for money basis' fight[1].gif

The taste in watches here is laughable.

So, JLC is the trend now?

The fact that Zenith is liked here makes this thread lose credibility.

+1 and I do like JLC and Zenith. it's not the trend... it's just being talked about b/c of the release of the 1931 models. since your "ThatGuy" what gives? having a JLC is just SO gauche you wouldn't be caught dead wearing one? for fuck's sake two pages ago someone was j.o. on a U-Boat!

Allow me to put that into perspective:

I have a GP as well and love some of their work (not the one pictured however)... it's a nice watch for sure, but it's not such to legitimize disdain for another equally nice watch. So to be honest, I'm not benefiting from the "perspective".
