Hey, Frill, you didn't notice the pic I took of your birthday present - tried on in the wild today while I was waiting for my lunch meeting to turn up:

Hot darn! Sorry I missed this. I love the subtlety and elegance of this piece. Its slim profile also allows it to slip under the cuff easily, especially given how smooth and silky that crown mechanism and crown guard looks - I mean, check out how it is so elegantly complementing the shirt cuff you're currently wearing!

When are you shipping this to me! I am so excited!

Yikes -- do you see that often? Also, plz update when you can, curious as to how the owner took the news...

it is by far the vast minority, but its not uncommon. 99.9% the customer is well aware. will update when i have new info.

Also, is it possible for you to take multiple pictures of this piece as it sits on your wrist, so that you can stitchy (heehee) the images together and post an animated GIF?

Here's an example of an animated GIF that strung together several images of what appears to be an excellent piece, when viewed in still pictures, but may well fall short of your standards in particular, mimo, especially with regards to display backs:

Cosmonauts are cool.
Impossible to tell what time is with them though.
And damned if I can remember how to use the slide rule.

Always liked that one. Especially the older handwound model. Came close once or twice.

Big Bird strap.
"ostentatious" 116520 today:

I've never been a fan of ostrich, but I have to say that strap looked magnificent.
As for the Big D, it's a beauty that never fades. :)

Awesome possum Keith.

I think that a collection can EASILY include both a Speedy and a Daytona.
+1 Two iconic chronos, but so different in price point and style that they definitely should share a home.

the top rolex i want to own right now.
It's one of several top Rolexes I'd like to own...but definitely up there!

That Breitling Top Time is badass. On a similar subject, I really want a Breitling Top Time. I think that would be a great first foray into the world of vintage.
+1

I fear that might be beyond me, my friend. But I must say, your aunt is looking wonderfully well, isn't she?

Edit: GDL, just saw your post...love that GO!

Love the PML GDL, I really love that older model. There is one for dirt cheap on Timezone right now... resisting the call.

Ah! The original watch appreciator has dropped by for a visit!

And just like that, the gdl vanishes again....

Speaking of watches with coffee photos, I'm not a big Milgauss fan, but I really liked this recent shot from PG. Thought it looked good on the black NATO.

Some of you probably still follow his (mainly cycling and culinary) adventures:

^^ great watch, but i like it better on the oyster band personally. ^^
---

sorry to keep barraging you all with pics of my semi kind of new watch, but i took some DSLR pics and wanted to share, forgive my narcissism.

as newcommer pointed out, the faceting on the case and lugs of some of the JLCs is amazing. dont really notice it unless you are close up, but its there all right, and so beautiful imo.

ill leave the strap and lugs pics unspoilered, and the rest of the bunch spoilered.

Ha, I miss the old mostexerent. Of course, I am happy that PG has found himself a lady friend and some new hobbies, but Rapha does not exactly stir me.

As for the Milgauss... I like it on the black NATO when looking at it in a vacuum, but I feel like the NATO would just add more bulk to an already bulks case. At the same time, the PCLs on the Milgauss bother me. So I guess it is a no-win for me! I really like the Milgauss, but I think I would get the bracelet brushed.

And Stitch: I really, really enjoyed the pictures. Especially of the Squadra case. Pictures generally fail to show how refined the case looks. Feel free to barrage away.

so glad you enjoyed them. i had a lot of fun taking the pics, but it was hard culling the selection down from 50+ pics.

the case really is superb in so many ways, i love it.

i think i will post maybe one more pic tomorrow and then take a break.
