I'm thinking that it will only look better when the strap gets worn, abused, & spilt on!

Especially in summer.

FYI - the strap is made of a nylon sail-like cloth with a water-proof soft leather backing.

I'm liking the cloth one a lot for the casual/coast side look - it should look even better with wear and "discoloration".

On a side note, how do you change the straps on this watch?

Guido that combo is pretty cool. Fits your style. I couldn't sport that watch as it way too big for me, but I do like the design. Funny, when I was looking for a watch and mentioned that brand NO ONE commented on it. I hadn't heard anything about B&R except that some movie stars where it, but that's about it.

Probably because there's already a long thread on the brand:

There should be a few other mentions of it as well, if you care to do a search.

I merely mentioned it in a list of watch companies I knew nothing about when asking for a reccomendation. Ater reading various threads, it seems this forum is not too favorable of B&R.

People who disliked these watches previously are now suddenly interested in them. Perhaps another case of the Guido effect?

I'm certainly not immune

I like the looks of the watch and band. It makes it a little more casual, less serious looking and that can be nice for a change. After all you can always go back to the big, black rubber band anytime.

I wanted to; but, I already have a haircut appointment at 6 and if I cancel that I won't have the chance to get one for another 3 weeks and I'm about a month overdue.

Here's a real rarity, reported stolen on another board. It disappeared from a courier shipment in Italy:
