Absolutely agreed! I'm not generally a fan of the Rolex aesthetic, but the AirKing is a beautiful watch. A black, brown, tan, navy, or dark green strap would be stunning on a SS AirKing.

Wow, this thread is still going on. Here is another contribution - a Paketa 24 hour military "world time" watch.



It has a most useless 22 hour power reserve. Did you know that "Paketa" is "Patek" in Russian? Uhhh... Just kidding ...

Do IWCs come in diameters smaller than 40mm? I have a small wrist and am looking for something under 40mm.

Sure. For example, for a sports watch, Ingenieur mid-size is just 34mm, Mark XV is 38mm. For a dress watch, Portofino are generally 38mm
