The Watch Appreciation Thread - Page 2232

My favorite Tudor is probably the Heritage Chrono in black/orange. Seems a good watch for the money.

The newer release in blue is getting all the love, tho.

Mainly I'm glad they're at least available again here in the US...that was a pretty long absence. Always nice to have more brands to see in person.

I liked the hour markers better on the blue. Also the colour scheme is kind of cool. Sellers seem to be selling used ones a bit of a premium over the black and orange.

I, personally, would keep looking.

I think their diver's model is a mess and a prime example of Richemont's affinity for dumbing down their brands' design language. For that money, there are so many good choices among versatile watches that can be worn with tailored clothing. Also, I'm not a fan of pairing any diver's watch with a suit.

But that's just my opinion, of course.

I may have to pick that up. What's the diameter without crown? Is it auto?

Yeah it's pretty sexy. Diameter is 40mm and it is an auto.

Did a little watch shopping today on vacation. Came close on a Breguet Marine. Got too distracted to remember to take pictures. Guess I'll have to go back later this week...

Mounted the Black Bay on a leather strap I had laying around. I liked this combo quite a bit more than I thought I would.

Although I definitely think it would look better on a sleeker strap, I absolutely believe that the Black Bay was made for a leather strap. Very attractive watch.

Funnily enough, I prefer it on the steel bracelet.

I like the Blue Bay on the bracelet... whereas I find that the bracelet on the Black Bay looks a tad disjunctive, what with the vintage details. But I am just picking nits.

No worries. It's just a personal preference thing, nothing more biggrin.gif
