Their "research that found none like it" presumably did not involve an internet connection.  That's where I found some in about ninety seconds.  It seems you're lucky they have a phone. lol8%5B1%5D.gif

It's on the small side at 34mm, but a lot cheaper than the Tri-Compax: from what I can find, it's around from about 2000 Euros upwards - late 1940s, apparently.

Tis a good thing that I cam here first and not there, rely on the TWAT brethren.

Could you PM me where you're looking?

You may be interested to know that they're asking GB£4650, needless to say that didn't get me to change the plans for the family to go back!

Thanks Mimo

Just for you, and as I'd seen it in the window, I used a quiet afternoon to get some close-up feelings on this: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

It's a lot of watch.  It's a lot of fun.  It's also quite a lot of money - but at about the same price as the standard ROC, it doesn't seem exploitative.  The ROC is more classy for sure, with its engraved tapisserie against the (stamped?) coloured dial of the Safari, while the Safari has that crazy strap and all those interesting shades playing off each other.  There would definitely be room for both in a baller collection.  One thing that I find almost perverse is that the ROC has a solid caseback, where the more sporty and bouncy Safari has the crystal.  But I guess that's just the ROC being all serious about its credentials and the Safari wanting to show its butt.

Yep, OM, you could wear this and be happy, I suspect. smile.gif

Very nice! I love the watch, the price is insane to me. Through the gray market, the SS ROC today would be a few g's less than than the new ROO Safari, and then as a bonus it comes with a bracelet. I find some of the ROO models to be interesting, most particularly the old and new Safaris, but at those prices there are a lot of other things I would rather have.

At about half the price of the Jumbo, I have to say it's very attractive indeed.  But I'm preaching to the choir: our TWAT brother has one, and now I know why.  As the eternal adage goes, there's no substitute for seeing something on the wrist...

cheers.gif I'm glad you had a chance to try out the 15400. I really do love it, to the point that I'll probably end up adding another one. LOL

mimo, just whip out your credit card, buy the 15400, and we'll dub it the "stitchy's baby wears a warm hat" special edition.

Great pics Dino, and also a very nice shot of that lume, frilly....almost looks shopped.

By the way, the AP dealer is also the JLC dealer here, so in honour of Stitchy's new addition, a small tribute to TWAT's favourite JLC "fanboi" (and "bois"):

First, something I really didn't like all that much, but had to see out of curiosity:

Points won: nice bezel, cool texture on the subdials.  Points lost: horrible colour for minute numbers and stitching, and Casio/Call of Duty numbers/markers/hands

At a distance, it's just a big chunky diver with that nice ceramic stuff.  Which is OK.

Mmmm...yeah, whatever.

So here's something everybody likes - maybe Stitchy needs a smooth dress watch?

Pretty tidy from this angle:

And something that I like very much indeed, just for the "pr0n" of it:
