Also, not a watch but needed to share with TWAT brethren - had these polished the other day (finally, after more than a year of owning them).

There are wingtips - and then there are seriously breathtaking works of art like this one from Corthay.

Xpost from Q&A thread.Thought i might have better luck here

Looking for some advice one a gift for my Father. He has just started collecting watches. He has 2 so far. We got him a winding box for Xmas. Is there any other kind of useful accessory or something that would make a good gift in the sub $250 range?

Love those shoes, Frilly. The colour is magnificent. But the shine guy isn't selling himself dressed like that!  Question: did you have to size up in G&G and Corthay?  I would need at least a half size longer in the latter.

Also, that's a great Nautilus pic, you know why?  Because it's so natural.  The arty shots are great, but this one really makes me want to wear it.

Hah! Thanks Cleav.  And no, I haven't been hiding them... I've been wearing them once every 3-4 weeks I'd say.  But I never had them cleaned or polished (not by anyone, not by myself) except for the occasional dab of Renovateur if I scuffed them a bit.  Went for the spa treatment this time.  $3 plus tip, not bad heh heh.

mimo, I'm a 9 with Corthay (which I think is more or less my size with G&G, expressed in UK terms) but the 001 last does run very narrow.  For whatever reason Corthay's last is more comfy for my feet than G&G, just a fit and foot shape matching kind of thing.

Hah, glad the pic came out decent - was sitting in a cab trying to figure out this whole "use the front camera eye, hold the damn phone out as far as you can and just get the angle kind of right" thing.  Oh, for longer arms and a more talented eye!

It's a Single Cuff. It's more formal than a French Cuff and the right one for White Tie, aka Full Dress. IME true Single Cuff shirts are rare OTR, but you may find Convertible Cuffs, where the button can be hidden for Single Cuff functionality, like on this Salvatore Piccolo shirt:

Or you can just have them made that way, like frills ;-)

Sizing on the Corthay might vary by last though. I sized a 10 for the 001 Arca, but ended up buying a 10.5 for the Pullman last.

Love the shoes, but really love the Nautilus pic. I am in complete agreement, it really shows off how versatile the Nautilus is. It looks completely at home in a shirt and tie.

Also, just saw this posted... first live pics I have seen of the new Hybris Mechanica 11. Very svelte:

Fixed for Stitchy.
