Congrats!  Its probably one of the easiest to use world time watches and its a great movement.  Its movement is the basis of the VC Overseas Dual Time and AP RO Dual Time.  Great find, I greatly prefer the original design over revised version.  Congrats again and acquiring a really great watch!

I've gotten chocolates from VC,  and from watch dealers, but I've never seen cheese from a watch company or dealer.

I often wear my Seamaster on the nylon NATO style straps. I've grown fond of the ZULU straps from Military Watch Resource/MWR. However, I really wanted to try a leather ZULU but didn't want to spend a lot. In the event I didn't like it, it would be a small investment.

I found a dealer via WUS located in Stockholm and ordered a couple. They arrived very quickly and were very inexpensive, ranging from $15-$25 each. The $15 Nato is very thin and doesn't seem like it would last, though I can't comment on durability just yet. The Zulu (pictured) is on their distressed leather and is thicker and feels much more substantial. At $25 I'm quite pleased. The hardware feels just like the US Made Nato/Zulu straps. A google search for 'cheap nato straps' will link to the Sweden based dealer.

That looks pretty good for only $25. I wouldn't mind getting something like that for my Red Sub.

After going through a bunch of leather NATO straps I've decided to put an HD alligator on my Sub and leave it.

I've come to the conclusion that leather NATO straps just don't work. The thick ones look ridiculous, and won't work on many watches, certainly not a Sub. I must say it does not work very well for the Seamaster above either. Meanwhile, Leather thin enough for a decent looking NATO strap simply won't last over time.

You might be right, however.I'd be interested to see some pictures if you wouldn't mind sharing. Of the HD alligator that is.

Actually it should be HR (Hadley Roma) Alligator. The Sharknado store is out of HD Alligators. I'll post pics when the strap arrives.

Merry Christmas to my Christian TWAT-buddies!

Just another day at the office for me tomorrow, but my vicarious sense is nonetheless excited for you all.  I can't help wondering what a guy like Frilly might have under the tree...:)

I was trying to figure out what HD meant. Anyway, I can't wait to see what the strap looks like.

Merry Christmas, people! Picture taken just before leaving for church. I am a sentimental soul, and for Christmas Evening nothing but my late father's Certina will do. No Patek, no Jaeger, no Rolex. Certina it is.
