forgot about that...the WG has the little triangles.
Yes, actually, the only all gold model that does not have the bezel with the triangles is the 116528, which is the yellow gold on a yellow gold bracelet. All other gold models including the yg on a strap have the bezel with the triangles.

I take it that's the new version of the Thunderbird? I don't know exactly what it is but since the last decade Rolex has gradually adopted Clown Watch Styling.

THIS is a proper Thunderbird.

that is not a thunderbird afaik. its the turn-o-graph DJ. pretty much the regular fluted bezel, that turns and has numerals, and the red date.

+1

Yes, its the newer version. I much prefer the old Thunderbird (Turn-O-Graph) to the modern version.

Actually, it is what the Thunderbird became. The term Thunderbird and Turn-O-Graph were basically used interchangeably years ago. It was a Datejust with a rotating bezel marked like a Sub bezel (but it turns in both directions). In the old Rolex catalogs/ads they would often show a photo of the famous Air Force Stunt team, the Thunderbirds. When the new version came out around maybe 2005, Rolex dropped the Thunderbird name and just started calling it the Turn-O-Graph.

If it pays 50% return like the Rolex deal above, I'm happy to invest :slayer:
