Posted it here before, but just remember - when Anchorman 2 comes out this December 20, it wasn't Ron Burgundy who wore the coyote collar lining first.  Though you might argue that he wore it better.

Nomos seems to be moving in an interesting direction adding some more expensive watches with new movements.

That could not be argued successfully, however. smile.gif Magnificent coat, excellent watch.

Awesome video about PP maintenance:

One thing bothers me about that Nomos Lambda: the fact that it has "gangreserve" written on the right part of the dial and "Nomos" on the left.

As I wear my watch on the left hand and the part of the watch peaking from underneath the shirt being the right, I rather see the name of the company instead of some german technical word. Not for braging rights as Nomos is virtually unknown, but this layout just doesn't seem logical to me.

Or perhaps I think this way because I used to wear a Portuguese chrono .

The Nomos "Lux Weissgold Hell" looks pretty good too.

Haha, thanks johnvw and akatsuki.  The coyote fur collar was harvested from Billy Reid's "lafayette" coat, available via their Heirloom line last year.  I think it's been discontinued though.

I originally got the Lafayette coat but I didn't like the RTW version and how it fit me.  Just little things to be expected from something that's not bespoke, given my weird proportions.  I'm not exactly model material 5'11" 160 pounds haha.  In any case, here's a pic from tumblr or some place of the original coat:

I guess it fits this guy OK, but it wasn't tapered enough for my tastes.  So I had my tailor take the coyote fur collar and make a coat for me (the camel colored one from the previous page).

It has occured to me more than once when wearing today's watch, that if I had to make this my only dress watch I could manage just fine.

+1

Probably my favorite design from them.  Really an exceptional piece.

Very interesting to see what the original coat looked like.  I greatly prefer what you did with yours, and I agree the original wasn't tapered enough.  I also think the camel color looks richer and I prefer it with the coyote fur collar.  Your tailor did a great job.
