The worst part actually was the look on the SA's face as he actually had to show the watch to the kid for his perusal. I shit you not. He had such a look of helpless, pathetic, semi-closeted disdain... I truly felt sorry for him. Ultimately the reality is they may in fact buy it and really that is his job. It was sad.
you've nailed it precisely. I actually felt as if it had drained some of my vital positive energy for a while after I left. I have never been so happy to land in NYC and the immigration guy said "Welcome Home". He has no idea how sincerely I appreciated it at that time.

just under a year... for work. I was literally counting the days and crossing them off the calendar one by one about 40 some days out. The only thing that kept me sane was the week-long break I took for New Year's to Vienna to relax, drink copious amounts of beer/wine, eat even more copious amounts of friend pork (Wiener schnitzel) and chill with some down to earth Euro-peeps!
*** on another note... for those of you who remember my "Rado gift conundrum" I have been test driving the first possibility this week... hope to post a pic or two this weekend. Thanks to all who provided advice and stay tuned!
