Here's some real watch porn.
My mom is 91 years old, retired in Florida and healthy as a horse (still gets around as well as she wants to).
She missed out on the internet age and doesn't use a computer.
I told her I like to participate in a style forum and that I had found Dad's watch, posted pictures of it on the forum, and that it ran well after all these years.
See here post 2186 about my Dad's old Pulsar watch
She said can "I post my watch too". I said sure and I had my nephew help her use the computer and takr digital pictures, and here is her Seiko. She doesn't remember when she bought it, but it was around when my Dad bought his Pulsar.
She said that she hadn't wound it in more than 20 years, but she wound it a few days ago and it started immediately keeping perfect time again. It's only got a 6" diameter band and she's too heavy to wear it now, but it's quite a testament to Seiko's longevity and value.
Here are pictures:
My parents weren't Patek Phillipe types but they were/are really good people sort of like Seiko watches.
