Went for the flieger. Got to try it in a store and loves the simple design. Over 24 days it is around +2-3 seconds.
The second diver one I got used in the same store for 400 usd, mint condition. Let the movement go for 3 days and the result was +15

Looks excellent, congratulations! How large is your wrist? Mine are about 6.5", and I'm wondering if one of these would be too large.

Also, having a tough time deciding between the Roman and the Arabic....

The Stowa MO (manual) is large (41mm), and wears large.

Wow. Just wow. Charlize is up there (for me) in terms of just plain stunning. No offense to Kristen Stewart (and her fans) and all, but in "Snow White & The Huntsman" I found it laughable that the mirror would pronounce forecasts like Kristen eventually surpassing Charlize in beauty. Ain't happening IMHO, sorry.

Incidentally, since this is the Watch Appreciation Thread, I also found another picture of Charlize wearing that DSSD in the Lakers game. And it took all of my mental faculties to tear my focus away from her and notice that the guy right beside her is wearing an Aquanaut.

You boys can keep the skinny stuff.  And it seems Royal Oaks are for girls. :)

Wow. Big fan of B. Didn't know she wore a RO - I wonder if, to paraphrase some of her songs, "that watch / on her wrist / she bought it" or if "he (Jay-Z?) liked it, so he didn't just put a ring on it."

I am not going to stray further off-topic here (although I'd argue that we are quite on topic), but one can google very interesting images of Brooklyn Decker also wearing an all-gold Daytona. I think, like Elle Macpherson, she pulls it off very well. And I also think, mimo, that she'll be more to your liking.

Jay-Z is a well-known fan of watches in general and APs in particular. I read a funny story in a watch magazine several years ago. Jay-Z was in a watch store. An elderly white male customer who didn't recognize Jay-Z began talking to him in a condescending manner because, obviously, a young black man could not possibly know anything about watches. The story ends with Jay-Z whipping out his arm, pointing to his watch, and saying, "Here's an AP -- edition of one." (AP made a watch just for Jay-Z.)

Stefan88: Nice pair of Fortises. (Fortisii?) Never owned one, but I hear good things. The flieger is quite similar to the Hamilton Khaki chrono (7750) that gets a lot of my casual/weekend wrist time.

denning: congrats on the Stowa. Curious as to how long the wait is these days?

Newcomer: good luck with the bar.

I didn't know who she was.  Having looked her up, no, she isn't.  Beauty from the back as well as the front, is very important to me.  And I'm always happy to accommodate a larger case size.

I hope that's clarified things.

Returning to the more attainable, Denning that's great looking.  How much do these things go for?
