Which dial do you prefer, grey or white?

(Thanks to all the forum members who provided their opinions on grey vs white dial. I think you helped me make the right choice.)

Our own forumite and watch lover, In Stitches procured the watch for me. It was not an easy task, as this model is not all that common, but he (literally) went to the ends of the earth to find me one, with the persistence of a pitbull. A big shout out of THANKS to Stitches for his good service in this endeavor.

I've got to wait about 2 weeks for delivery, and think that I might go nuts waiting. I just want to put myself in cryogenic stasis and let Stitches wake me up when it arrives.

'twas my pleasure to help out. and a big thanks to kai for giving me the opportunity to procure the watch, and for his patience while i was out and about wheeling and dealing. i cant wait for it to come in.

however, i do not recommend the final phase of that waiting plan, lol. the urge to leave you in cryo and wear the watch would just be too great. maybe someone else can be charged with the wake up task.

My daily wearer is a Longines Hydroconquest with black dial I picked up in Germany a few years ago. Get quite a lot of complements...many thinking it's a Rolex Submariner. Also have a mint 60's Seamaster.

I like the old Curvex there Keith T... used to have one myself. Unfortunately, it was stolen about 8 months ago... frown.gif Hope you are enjoying yours in good health!

Spring time, put the Sub on the James Bond Nato. Had been wearing my datejust and breguet for a little while and forgot just how well the sub wears on a nato band. Fell in love all over again.

Nice Sub, nice Pre-HD Bond.

Is there any interest in putting together a hierarchical list of "good watches"? For example:

Five figures: Patek, JLC, Vacheron, Rolex
Four figures: vintage Rolex, Omega, Grand Seiko, Seiko Prospex
Three figures: Seiko Prospex, Seiko SARB, Orient
Two figures: Seiko 5

This is based on my own narrow experience of course, and we probably want to divvy up the price hierarchy further. The other question being do we want to include certain stock movement brands (or perhaps exceptional models from such lines) as we go down in price.

Thoughts?
