Very nice RO 15400. Congrats and enjoy it. Although as others have mentioned, I'd be nervous that the zipper from the glove would scrape the bezel on the RO.

Bob Davis' deployants are great. I probably have half a dozen and they have all worked perfectly for a long time.

The visible part isn't anything special (not as nice as an IWC or JLC deployant in that regard) but perfectly serviceable.

I have hard good things about several independent watch strap makers including peter.watchacc over at WUS, never used him so I can't vouch though. I wanted to buy a light colored leather strap for a Bulgari Diagono I have to give/loan it to my wife for now...

Anyone know of a place that will take the original buckle and put a new strap around it (without losing anything)? I have a Meistersinger band that is getting a little ragged, and even purchased new in Europe it was a pain to get an XLong ordered. The US distributor doesn't seem interested in helping out.

I imagine most strapmakers will. ABP probably will. I'm sure April in Paris would as well since they're as bespoke as you can get... though at a price. I wasn't crazy about either though.

Trying Camille Fournet now and they're super responsive on email so worth checking. I tend to think the'd do it since they can sew one of their buckles in for you.

I'm surprised the buckle doesn't have a spring or screw.

IMO the Hughes Low straps are at least as nicely made as the OEM PP straps in terms of finishing - but his limitation is the quality of skins he can source.

+1 for ABP. They can work around whatever you give them - and while not inexpensive - I've been very pleased with the 4-5 straps I've had delivered. The straps pictured (not counting the RO strap which is from APbands.com) are using the original tang buckles and pins, and for the Journe ABP was able to integrate the curved pin attachment between the lugs.
