Awesome Stitchy. You have other leather strap color for this watch?

Handle both, pictures can only give you a limited impression.  I've handled both, and I've always thought the Datograph which has a great movement is nice, but it is cold and soul-less.   As for B's point...its simply opinion.

But it's like comparing a Ferrari and a Lamborghini I guess
Also a Dato loses value while 5070s appreciate - that's noone faults exc ours (the consumer) but it is wht it is

And of course I had a choice - and I picked the 5070

You definitely made the right choice!

Thanks!!! Mind you I also grabbed a 5170j smile.gif love the patek chronos...

Scroll to the bottom for the picture.

That looks very nice. I'm not a member on WUS, but how do I sign up for preorders?

You definitely have the best of both worlds (last of the Lemania based Patek chrono movements and a new in house Patek chrono movement).  I have tried on the 5170 and its a beautiful watch.  Its case is sleeker and more compact than I expected.  I think I have a slight preference for the 5070's case and dial however, both are real stunners!  Congrats and thanks for sharing some photos.

thanks. no, just the one.

Since I'm no longer lusting after the TT1931 or the GO panos, I think I've settled on the dangerous territory of vintage rolex--specifically either a matte 1680 or 5513.

Anyone have any advice for me?

Just a few quick photos from earlier today.

that is a cool watch. new?

I think that is his old Vacheron. Beautiful watch by the way, I love the movement!

Also, good luck with that Cyclon. Vintage Rolex territory makes me nervous!
