I have a variety of watches and a BMW 3 series car and sincerely hope I am not a douche bag

I'm sure you are not, some of the members consider it the douce bag car. My friends ruined entry level luxury cars for me since I have been riding around them for so long now, but we were never douche bags claiming to be rich like some guys.

I love my BMW. I don't consider it a douche bag car at all

Sorry maybe I wasn't able to articulate what I meant.

Some kids get an entry level job, and buy an entry level luxury car (BMW is common) and act like duche bags. They were probably always duche bags but now they think they are rich douche bags.

There is nothing wrong with the car, I actually considered buying one, I was playing and didn't mean to offend anyone.

Congrats on the 112, in stiches! I am Pam-less for the time being, sold my 111 last year. Not quite sure why, it was a cool watch. I was on a AP/JLC/PP roll, and felt the Unitas was beneath me I guess Also, I always wished the case was brushed, not polished.

I have been thinking about Panerai again lately, probably due to the season. With thick sweaters goes a bigger watch Maybe I'll go with titanium this time around? The 177 is very cool. Or maybe something completely different, a Radiomir perhaps? The new 42mm with an inhouse movement is sweet!

Me too. I always enjoy photos of the steel models, but IRL I find the polished cases much too reflective/blingy/shiny. A friend of mine has one that's been heavily worn and it looks great now, much more muted with all the scratches and wear.

I sometimes wonder if I should've gotten a PAM 000 instead and either have it brushed or just banged it up quickly to get rid of the mirror-like surfaces. Shininess aside I think the 000 is just about perfect with the sausage dial and especially the solid case-back which feels a much better fit for this kind of watch, considering historic applications as well as the generic movement.




Agreed. Haven't seen them in the flesh, but unlike the reduced Luminors I like these smaller Radiomirs.

I've never been a fan of that model. If you do sell it, maybe look for a 3706 (or 3713!) in good shape. Along with the Speedy one of the greatest chronos, IMO.

Whether the people who wear them are douches or not, Panerais look silly on most people. You really need to have Arnold Arms to pull them off.

I'm guilty of the big watch fetish myself but am coming to the conclusion that anything bigger than 40mm in a casual environment/36mm in a formal one is a bit much for average sized guys.
