no joke.

here are my issues. i think, objectively, i like the more classy subdued look of the 210 case, and the more stylistic number fonts. on the other hand, i do want a sportier watch, and i want a panerai with the crown protector, and i like the option to easily swap straps.

in the end they are both beautiful looking watches, and i dont know how i am going to decide.

I like both the Radiomir and Luminor a lot. One thing you might want to consider is the screwed down crown on the Radiomir. I'm sure it works fine and I don't believe I've ever read on the internet about crown threads stripping on a Radiomir, but I'd be at least slightly uncomfortable at the prospect of having to unscrew the crown every couple of days to wind up the watch. (I have stripped the threads on a screw-down crown before, albeit on a much lesser watch) The Luminor crown guard, on the other hand, is such a pleasure to use I almost find myself wanting to open and close it for no reason.

Please excuse my ignorance, why is the extra hand in the wrong place v the hour hand?

Yeah some good stuff on here. Personally I like unfussy watches that just have 3 hands, a date display and that's it, preferably with a nice leather strap too.

It's a gmt = dual time zones

FF, understood.  Then the extra hand should be in the same place as the hour hand on the dial, correct?  And it's not, it's on 51.75 and the hour hand is on 58.5.  Both should be on the same minute marker, imho.

You are missing the point here, it's really simple, it's an extra hour hand, so the time is 10:43 and 11:43 some where else.

Spend 20 minutes the other day explaining how a single hand watch worked, I gave up after 20 minutes.

I think I get it, it takes into account the minutes.  Still should be where the hour hand is, maybe it's a little slow, or I am!
