It was quite a bit more than $3k.

335

The closest I have seen is the silver dialed Longines Hydroconquest. One WIS site had a comment that it was reminiscent of a Yachtmaster. Breitling Superocean Steelfish in a silver dial might be another option.

Since that is the older version of the Yacht, you may find a good deal on pre-owned.  Then again, the new one is fugly.

Speaking of which, I surprisingly upped my horological game by adding a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712. To me the obvious choice in the Nautilus lineup, though I did not know how much I would covet this until I tried it on. A steel Patek with simple but beautiful complications.
Purists will scoff, I guess, insisting that Patek is all about grand complications and precious metals. But my eyes do not lie, this is all smiles and puppies on my plebeian wrist.

Man...gorgeous watch, but a wrist with a $30K+ watch on it is far from plebeian, lol.

I asked this in the Seiko thread but nobody had an answer for it there: Does anyone know if Seiko is producing the Spirit model any longer? And, if not, are they making something similar? It seems to be off of the Seiya website. Kind of thinking about snagging a Spirit.

Yeah they discontinued the Blue Spark about a year or two ago. I shouldn't of sold it, it was my first automatic. I think you can find a nice pre-owned one on watchuseek market place.
