I've been looking for a watch that has a grey dial, similar to the Yacht-master pictured. Anyone know of another watch that's similar? Because the Yacht-Master is steel and platinum, its a little out of my price range.

Of the IWC's, I prefer the slate grey dial automatic. I think its white gold and stainless and out of my price range @ $23K.

Me too but they are both great looking watches. In fact any Portuguese would be nice.

My latest watch.
This has been something of a "grail" watch for me for quite a while. Not too many of them were made, and very few in white gold.
I work in a business casual environment, and want a "stealth" watch that didn't look too "dressy" but was still nice. This watch looks rather unassuming, and its better qualities are hidden on the reverse side. The white gold metal is also less"rich" than yellow or rose gold. Perfect every day watch for the environment I work in.
I've been looking for this particular watch for more than 3 years. Finally found this one on ebay. Snatched it up. Very happy. Only 1 more "grail" to go.

damn if i saw that for $3k i would buy that with a quickness. lovely lovely lovely. i am afraid to buy a watch on ebay though. i don't know enough to know what i'm getting. now that i know that exists, i want to find one. steel would be ok for me if they made it, but the white gold is absolutely lovely.

Very brave to purchase something like that on eBay, but lovely Art Deco model, early 1990s right?

My Reverso grail is a vintage centre seconds model, like so:

That is just ridiculously nice! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Speaking of which, I surprisingly upped my horological game by adding a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712. To me the obvious choice in the Nautilus lineup, though I did not know how much I would covet this until I tried it on. A steel Patek with simple but beautiful complications.

Purists will scoff, I guess, insisting that Patek is all about grand complications and precious metals. But my eyes do not lie, this is all smiles and puppies on my plebeian wrist.

It was quite a bit more than $3k.

The closest I have seen is the silver dialed Longines Hydroconquest. One WIS site had a comment that it was reminiscent of a Yachtmaster. Breitling Superocean Steelfish in a silver dial might be another option.
