I've been looking for a watch that has a grey dial, similar to the Yacht-master pictured. Anyone know of another watch that's similar? Because the Yacht-Master is steel and platinum, its a little out of my price range.

Of the IWC's, I prefer the slate grey dial automatic. I think its white gold and stainless and out of my price range @ $23K.

damn if i saw that for $3k i would buy that with a quickness. lovely lovely lovely. i am afraid to buy a watch on ebay though. i don't know enough to know what i'm getting. now that i know that exists, i want to find one. steel would be ok for me if they made it, but the white gold is absolutely lovely.

Speaking of which, I surprisingly upped my horological game by adding a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712. To me the obvious choice in the Nautilus lineup, though I did not know how much I would covet this until I tried it on. A steel Patek with simple but beautiful complications.

Purists will scoff, I guess, insisting that Patek is all about grand complications and precious metals. But my eyes do not lie, this is all smiles and puppies on my plebeian wrist.
