Oisin - to clarify the date wheel on the new models, is same as dial colour(s) (not black). Eg Blue has blue date wheel.

Its a really excellent new design detail.

Yes, white face

Lovely watch 'Hotel' and yes the white face can work (sporty) - I tend to have a preference for 'darker' dials just for visibility (reading time). The second picture the watch does look 'unbuckled'?

This is the 41/2mm and why I'm happy to try the 39mm model, as the End Case lugs should not over hang the wrist (imho). But each to there own, some like a close fit whilst others prefer a loose 'bracelet' freestyle fit. However, a down side to a loose fitting is generally the watch receives more incidental damage.

My friend has all kind of watches (collector) from rolex, hublot, ap everything you could think of from $100-$20 000, but the most watch he loves and wears all time is a omega seamaster.

in a meeting today saw a guy with

i liked it a lot--much better in person than in the pics I've seen. the square case was powerful and actually kind of elegant.

also a milgauss sighting.

I'm a sucker for cushion cases, myself. But I hate the numerals. Soooo painfully retro-gimmicky.

I have no problem with the font used for the numerals, as the GO Senator Sixties range is a direct homage to the GDR-era Glashutte watches, and the font is a carry over from those pieces.

The Senator Sixties pieces I've found to look much better in pictures than in the steel, unfortunately.

I agree, numerals are great here.

I also agree on cushion cases - love them when they're nicely shaped and well finished

I have decided I think i'll go with the Cartier Santos 100 XL in silver. I tried on the JLC reverso in the store and it was so boring compare to the Cartier. I think santos will look perfect with my suits biggrin.gif
