I made the strap myself. I needed some to fit the character of my vintage watches.

Very nice - they look like what Hodinkee currently sells fur $ 150.

My first thought as well!

Anyone ever purchased a watch through Chrono24.com? Internationally?

Advice?

Cylon,

Shipping depends on the seller. I recently inquried with two sellers (one in Switzerland and one in Germany) and neither shipped to North America. That said, I noticed some others did.

Some US based sellers on there as well including some gray market sellers etc. European sellers seemed to have higher prices than their US counterparts overall.

Thanks Mark Anthony! Just sent him an email asking to confirm that he ships to the USA (from Germany).

I dunno, wire transfer just makes me nervous. My mind starts racing and I imagine all the ways he can screw me over.

Maybe I should stick to the USA so if anything goes wrong I can at least spin it into my own episode of Judge Judy laugh.gif

I feel like Chrono24 is more like a reliable version of Ebay. However, similar to Ebay, you buy the seller, not the item smile.gif. I would buy without worry if it was from a respected seller!

And how I wish this was my wrist...

I think I give the edge to Kari on that one smile.gif

I concur, I think that the 44mm would have been a solid 4 mm too big smile.gif

i dont find all of their watches to be hideous, but they do make some uglies no doubt.

I have, Germany to New York. I had the seller use UPS, and I got the watch in 2 days.

Agreed. Some of the classic Golden Squares from 10 years ago were actually beautiful, especially the smaller case ones.

Nice ones you have there. What kind is the one on the lower right (second row)? I like the shape of that case.
