I have gained a ton of respect for photog's skills the last few years. Taking pictures is not easy!

x-post from MC WAYWRN, and perhaps a bit pedestrian for all here, but I love this watch. My first "real watch" and one I wear nearly every day.

+1, I am awful. That picture I took was far and away the best I have ever taken, and I actually have a decent camera.

And Damasko's aren't for everyone, but they are a hell of a tough tool watch. I prefer my watches to be nondescript.

i think the shoes cost almost as much as the watch ?

It's funny what people decide is an acceptable price for a given luxury item. I have no problem spending 5k+ on a watch but I can't bring myself to buy shoes over ~$500. Priorities!

Yeah, same. All of my shoes were on clearance/sale, or got it from the sales rep because i worked at a shoe store when i was in college, none were more than $300 lol

I really just can't decide what to do with my next watch purchase, to be honest. Whether it is better to get something less expensive, that I care less for, or to wait and splurge on something I really love. My [somewhat achievable] grail right now is the GO Panomatic Lunar, but to get that would mean waiting for quite sometime... A couple years at least.

The GO is a beautiful watch, the double swan neck is stunning in photos and even more so in person. I've found that I wear my "affordables" a couple times and decide I don't like them anymore and sell them for a loss, which is why I stopped buying them altogether. As long as you have a watch to wear to work and one for play I would save up for the GO.

Yeah, that has been my feeling as of late. I feel that I am always happier with something I really like, rather than a placeholder. I guess that is true of most things though. My true love is a Patek 5146, but I don't think I will be saving up for that one any time soon smile.gif.

Suggest a strap for this JLC. It should be one of a leather which can be shipped internationally under current law (CITES?). It currently has a dark brown crocodile as seen in the pic but it is in tatters now and the the local JLC dealer hasn't been able to arrange a replacement for the past year. I dont want to order a croc over the internet for fear that it would be seized by Indian customs

Thanks
