no offense but there are plenty of movements out there besides dornbluth that are beautiful as well. many imo are far more beautiful and complex. here are some. i could list more but i think this will convey my opinion well enough.

that makes a lot more sense, but there are some JLCs, IWCs, and others right in that range, maybe a tad higher that have beautiful movements as well. but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

again, no offene meant. smile.gif

Oh I understand! No offense taken. I think the Watch P0rn threak could always use more discussion. Yeah, DB's definitely aren't finished as well as many of the other 'higher tiered' brands, but I think for the pricepoint they are very nicely finished. I definitely agree with JLC, but I find IWC's movements to be a tad... uninspiring, save for their upper echelon that actually does use in-house movements. And that is very true, beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder.

+1. The GO PML is my current grail. I am so tempted to try to snatch that watch on the grey market.

glad non was taken, and for the most part i agree with you on the IWCs. their lower level watches do have a simpler looking movement.

Speaking of Stowa, I love these 1938 Chronos but with the Valjoux 7753 are they worth $2500 US?
