Sigh... It is obvious there is a size difference that is large enough to cause the new version to be unwearable by most people. As well, I have had both watches on (and I used to own a FF 40mm), and its not just that the head has gotten larger, but as well the bracelet is slightly wider as well, adding to the heft / size.

Sigh, sigh -- I was just demonstrating that the original post with separate pics made the differences appear greater than they are. Of course the bracelet's bigger - why wouldn't it be?

"...unwearable by most..." is probably not the case, but it is a larger watch and, as stated ad nauseum here, some like 'em big and some do not. bored.gif

"Sigh, sigh" lol.

"...unwearable by most..." was not to be taken literately... I mean I could 'wear it', I meant in terms of the discussion regarding what looks too large on the wrist, not physical limitations. I love btw, the way both watches look and wish that they made a non-limited edition FF 40mm with the black / sapphire bezel.

I agree... a local WIS down here have a GS and it's a real beauty.

Thinking about adding this down the road. (not my pic)

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. My GS is a SBGR051. The case is 37 mm which fits my modest sized wrist perfectly. The watch is conservative in its design yet beautifully finished, with raised and faceted markers and beautiful sword hands. The chapter ring is highly polished, which helps the watch catch the light.

bmms8: looking forward to seeing a picture of your GS.

Warren: I think your picture is of the SBGR061: great looking watch: I love the blued seconds hand.

Here is another picture taken yesterday, on my iPhone:

Yeah the dial is a really nice ivory/cream.

Speaking of which, I'm still mad at myself for not pulling the trigger on this GP. The size is perfect too @ 38mm....but wears like a 40mm.

Nopes. I tried it last week (as, SHAMELESS PLUG, you can see in my latest blog post) but this is the "old" one.
