I am going to make a birthday purchase for myself and I am trying to decide between the matte and the polished Stowa Marine Roman. Thoughts?

Brushed. Polished finishes almost always look cheap.

Depends on the kind of watch. Casual brushed, dress polished. Coincidentally my Panerai (PAM 86) is brushed too; but my Stowa (same M. O. with roman numbers) is polished.

^^Very nice. Super thin and dressy, Kappelan. I like it.

Today I'm wearing my favorite "Big Blue" watch....celebrating Kentucky's narrow escape in the NCAA tournament vs. Princeton. That was a close one.

Not sure what the latest price list is. Email Dirk, he's great to communicate with. You order straight from him and can personalize the watch with movement engraving and other options.
