Would you sell this one? I thought I wanted it. But I have a buyer right now, and I don't know what to do.
Would you only sell it or replace it? If replace, PLEASE do not say you would then get the Mark XVI. The XV is a classic, the XVI is just fugly.
Edit: just saw your other posts. Personally, I'd sell one of the others and keep the XV. You don't have one like that, and the 3 you have are all more similar. But perhaps that's how you like it. Not a Pam fan myself.
What is the current estimate? $600 7 years ago for only an overhaul seems high to me. But, yes, if the last overhaul was 7 years ago I would recommend one at this time.
Right. That's more like it. I had clean/oil, new OEM crystal, new crown/pin, new gasket done last year on a 1958 Seamaster for around $250.
I requested they send it back to me and I am going to take it to family jeweler down on Jeweler's row in Philly. The messed up part is the original jeweler is also family and I really think they are trying to jerk me.
Will update on how it goes and take some pics after repairs.
It is a beautiful, classic watch. Has the "First watch worn on the moon" on the back of it. Kind of cool.
