Nothing wrong with Tag Heuer. If you like the look, get it. It's not necessarily a good buy, as it will loose a lot of it's value out the AD's door (just like most watches but Rolex, Panerai and PP). You also won't get a fancy movement, but most people really don't care about that. I belive it's the 7750, very robust and popular. You can also get better watches for the same price if you choose a different brand (or watches just as good much cheaper). So why do want to get the TH? Because it's a TAG? Educate yourself and your brand interests might change. Because it's good value for money? Se above. Because you like the looks of this exact watch? Buy it, wear it and enjoy it. (Try to find a second hand one to take advantage of the value loss.) I like my Heuers, even the TAG ones

No worries. I agree with what you write.

I just find comments like "shoddy build quality" and "spend some time on this forum" quite ignorant. It the guys posting these comments know so much, why can't they be helpful and educate us less informed members. If there are some quality concerns I would be very happy to learn about them.

By the way, I love the blue Monaco you posted a few days ago.

Interesting watch. I don't quite get the outer day ring but its certainly unique. Since its got a second hand, what's the subdial at the 9 for? Or is that second hand looking thing pointing to the current day?

I'm thinking of adding this to my watch "collection", presently consisting of one orphan PAM111. Also interested in adopting an IWC Jubilee edition, or something that looks similar (IW5454- ugly seconds subdial, or IW5702 most likely in 2011) - minimal numerals being truncated. For now, I'm thinking of my chrono as a US$200 mechanical hand wound: Chinese made. Seagull 1963 Chinese Airforce reissue. What do you guys think about looks? (photo not mine)

Yeah, that second hand looking thing is the day of the week pointer.
The real question is what are those 7-6-5-4-3-2-1 markers for on the outer ring.

^ Maybe they're to indicate that the weekday hand goes counter-clockwise?

I mean, if the order the days are written doesn't give it away
