What do the cognoscenti say about Bell & Ross?

I love the JV & think IMHO that it´s worth every cent..

It's all relative. IWC charges the same for a small calf skin strap.

Why buy OP straps when third-party straps easily surpass in quality? B&R is merely a fashion watch company that churns out typical ETA-fitted timepeices with little historical relavence or technological innovations. If their styling appeals to you, then that's all that matters, but you'll be silly to pay retail for it. I was once tempted to buy a pre-owned BR01 phantom, but decided that the PVD look really isn't for me. Personally, I won't really consider them until they make observable steps to fashion themselves as a serious horological manufacturer.

Interesting - didn't know that. Beautiful watch nonetheless.

As a brand, JLC is really what IWC should aspire to be.

Currently looking for a strap for my watch. The bars are fixed so I'm not sure how to go about finding one...

^ Very cool - where did you get the old H. Moser?

From his grandfather iirc from TZ.

Eh, I disagree. They have very different historical characters. While I don't like what IWC has done with itself, it should always be more Germanic and technical than JLC.

Nope. I've only read about it.

I agree. I meant that from the perspective of their branding and the styling of their pieces. IWC has been trending towards the trendy Zenith side of things for awhile now. Of their current portfolio, I only really like the 7-Day Port and the Big Pilot.

On the Memovox, none of the NY ADs seem to have it, which is weird.
