I can see the appeal, but it's a tad busy for my taste.

Thanks. The Portofino doesn't get much respect, but I like it. I think I've got the "subtle, dress watch" column finalized now.

Aesthetic wise my favourite is probably the IWC followed by the bottom right Omega. The Fortis appeals alot and oddly for such a busy watch I very much like the Oris. Nice collection.

I found this pic and can't remember if it was in this thread or another one..but I really like the watch and the strap, I know someone on here posted it.

I've looked everywhere for the strap (BB, Jcrew, etc) but no luck. Even having something with a similar stripe pattern would be ok.

The watch I think is a basic Timex T20041? But the second hand on this one looks more orange..anyway I really like the combo and would like to put my own twist on it..any help is appreciated.

We have quite a few of that style in our shop - see my signature.

That Omega came out at the dawn of the quartz age. It is an ultra slim, high beat, mechanical movement (case is 7mm tall). I don't think it is worth too much; apparently, they had reliability problems with these early, high beat movements, but this particular one runs fine for me. I picked it up NOS. * or so I've been told

P.S. The Oris is a killer "flashy watch for suits." It looks really nice on the wrist. I've tried on a couple of occasions to talk myself into selling it, but I can't. It looks sooo much better in the mirror than in the box. Thanks for looking.

What model is that Oris? I couldn't find it on the website. I kind of dig that number style and I've always had a hard on for moondials.

The sandwiches are fine. Actually that one looked tasty. Cars are tacky. Beaches remind me of my irrational fear of sharks.
