I love the vintage Rolex King Midas. Admittedly, it's not for everyone.

Because of what I do, I really don't like to wear my nice watches often.

Would you know if the King Midas band is from a solid Gold ingot like the Omega Golden Seamaster band I posted in post # 5276?

rnoldh, Yes the band on the King Midas is a solid ignot style, it is actually a very heavy watch. The Midas was the heaviest watch made in 1964 when it was introduced by Rolex.

Thanks, I thought so.

It's iconic of the era and a certain type of watch.

It is much, much nicer to me than monstrosities like this!

My Omega Golden Seamaster is no light weight either weighing in at a healthy 140 grams.
